Chalkboard Garden (2025)

For this project, I was tasked with updating the designs for the Chalkboard Garden product offered by the Colorations brand, using new material and production parameters. These chalkboards are meant to be hung on a wall or fence in a classroom environment, as seen in the product photo. In addition to updating the flower designs, I was also tasked with creating three additional designs in the shapes of garden critters- a butterfly, a frog, and a snail. The challenge here was to create shape language that offered the maximum amount of chalkboard area while still reading easily as animals. Designs also had to work within production parameters, meaning no long antennae or open shapes for the frog feet. Responsible for all visual aspects of the project from initial sketches to final deliverables; work completed in Adobe Illustrator.
